For example, the map above is showing the degree of agricultural diversity between the nations of the world. India is relatively large which represents a high degree of agricultural diversity whereas the United States is relatively smaller - representing a low degree of agricultural diversity. This makes sense because in the US, few crops are grown to maximize economies of scale.
