Unclassed Choropleth maps display information using a color gradient as opposed to the classed choropleth which organizes values into specific classes. Each shade on the gradient is closely tied to a specific value or very small range of values so the resulting depiction on the map can be subtle yet descriptive. I personally like these type of maps because of their high level of detail.
